Cosmo vs Hemmingway

Back in the day magazines like Cosmopolitan, Harper's Bazaar and Vogue used to compete with each other to publish the best new stories from up-and-coming authors like Truman Capote and J.D. Salinger. These days the readers are far more interested in sex and bags and shoes.

This Hemmingway cover of this Cosmo is a work of art. Just one cover line! About Hemmingway! That must be what publishing heaven is like. (The book is Across the River and  in to the Trees and the note on the front  reads,  "Here it is the novel for which the world has waited 10 long years.")
