This months book club book was Hell's Angels by Hunter S. Thompson. I probably would have preferred to read an encyclopedia of skin diseases. I don't have a problem with Hunter, in fact Rum Diaries would be in my list of top ten books of all time, it's just that it's about motorcycles. (Well, specifically it's about the year he spent living and riding with the Hell's Angels in California). I started it three separate times, each time getting to around page 36. I felt like this was an accomplishment in itself because there's multiple accounts of alleged gang rape and grievous bodily harm in those pages alone and the story hadn't even really got going yet. I failed you book club but but I'll go along anyway. My guess is this one doesn't have a happy ending.
